Stylish Country Manor House Wedding

We met Charlotte + Alex when we filmed their good friends Emily + Nick’s wedding two years prior in the Cotswolds, so we knew we would be seeing a few familiar faces which is always a great way to start the day.

Charlotte and Alex decided upon the beautiful Victorian country manor house Brockencote Hall in Worcestershire, to hold their wedding which is local to where a lot of their family and friends live. Set in 70 acres of peaceful parkland it was a fresh, crisp, sunny spring day when we arrived to film their wedding – little did we know what was ahead…!

Charlotte + Alex were surround by friends and family whilst they were getting ready and there was a buzz of excitement with lots of Veuve Clicquot already being gently sipped!

Charlotte looked breathtaking in her beautiful long sleeved, lace dress from The Dressing Rooms Bridal and she choose a stylish modern look for her hair and make-up. Good friend Nick Malenko of Royston Blythe styled an incredible up-do for Charlotte’s hair, and we loved the dramatic dark eye look perfected by Ria Moore MUA. Alex looked super cool in his bespoke suit from The Drop in London.

In terms of bringing all their wedding elements together they took inspiration from a colour theme perspective ‘When planning our wedding we wanted it to be modern and not your typical wedding colours and ideas. Grey was the theme so we tried to stick to this as much as we could. Simplicity rather than frilly!’.

Stunning white flowers from Lili Floral Art complimented the grey colour theme perfectly.

We had a great day working alongside the super talented and friendly Sam Gibson ‘We found Sam through googling top photographers in England’ Charlotte explained, ‘We loved his style as it was natural and not forced or staged photos’.

We were all taken a little by surprise when a snow storm swept through and not to be at all deterred by this, Charlotte + Alex braved the cold for their confetti walk (which Sam coined the phrase ‘snowfetti’ for!) and also their couple portraits.

I asked Charlotte what her most memorable moments were from her day were, ‘Getting ready with all our closest friends, the ceremony itself and celebrating with everyone we love. Oh and… the weather (snow)!!!’.

Charlotte and Alex happily offered the following advice for those of you who are currently planning your wedding ‘Just go with it, it all comes together in the end. Enjoy it as it’s all over in a flash and also make sure you have a wedding film as it’s amazing to be able to watch the day back’.

Congratulations to Charlotte and Alex and we wish you lots of love for your future together – hopefully we’ll see you at another wedding soon!

We hope you enjoy their highlights film x
