In one of our conversations, Mary had mentioned to me that herself and Pete had fallen in love with the first glimpse of Wood Hall Hotel & Spa and it was one of the reasons they chose their venue. When Justin and I arrived at the hotel, we could see for ourselves that it really was breath taking. This country house hotel located in Wetherby, is perched on a hill, set in 100 acres of beautiful Yorkshire countryside and it dramatically appears as you turn a corner – you can’t help but say ‘wow’.
We arrived early on the morning of Mary and Pete’s wedding as we knew we wanted to do some time lapse of the hotel in its grounds and as we were filming a young deer hopped past – if only it had come into shot it would have been gold!
As Mary got ready in the hotel with her bridesmaids, Pete played golf with his mates followed by a customary beer (or two?) to calm the nerves!
Mid morning the pretty bouquets were delivered from The Willow Garden. The vibrant colours were chosen to compliment the bridesmaid’s dresses and flower arrangements were also made for the table settings in the same colour.
Mary looked stunning in her dress with its intricate ribbon detail at the back purchased from Ava Rose Hamilton.
A string trio played as part of the ceremony and then also for the guests outside which really added to the relaxed summer garden feel of their wedding. The fabulous John Hotowka mingled amongst guests to literally work his magic on them – his finale was brilliant and even when we watch our filming of his illusion over and over, we still can’t work out how he did it…it must be magic!
It’s clear to see that Mary and Pete are madly in love with each other and we wish them a long, happy and healthy future together as Mr & Mrs Donaldson!
We hope you enjoy watching their wedding highlights film…
